NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL | 27th January 2026
We have received feedback that some consumers have detected an unusual taste or smell in some of our bread products baked in our Dandenong Bakery in Victoria.
Our investigation has identified the source as a randomly occurring but unexpected smell in a batch of one of our minor baking ingredients (wheat fibre). This batch of ingredients has now been isolated.
Testing of our retained product samples confirms that there is no food safety risk with the ingredient or products that are available in the market.
While all results are within specification and do not present a safety concern, to uphold our high standards of quality, we have decided to voluntarily withdraw the impacted products on Tuesday 27th January 2026.
This voluntary withdrawal only impacts specific products produced in our Dandenong Bakery for Victoria. The impacted products are:
- Tip Top The One (all variants excluding Gluten Free)
- Gold Max White Sandwich and Toast
We will replenish stocks of these products on shelf over the next 48 hours. We apologise for this inconvenience.
Consumers with any concerns can contact Tip Top’s customer service team directly referring to the phone number printed on the product packaging. We will provide a full refund for purchases of impacted products.
